Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Lee is Bioethics Consultant at the Institute of Clinical Bioethics at Saint Joseph’s University, and Editor of The Journal of Healthcare Ethics & Administration (JHEA) published by the Institute. He engages in providing clinical ethics consults and reviewing and developing ethics policies at area hospitals. He also leads and conducts research with the Institute's Fellows and medical professionals associated with the Institute's contract hospitals. As the editor-in-chief of the Institute's academic journal, JHEA, Dr. Lee oversees overall operations of the Journal's activities, which includes developing and implementing policies on conflicts of interests for all people involved in a publication process; performing screen review of submitted manuscripts; establishing a system for effective and prompt anonymous peer review; etc. As an adjunct professor at Saint Joseph's Department of Health Services and Administration, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on campus and online. Lee is a competent teacher and public speaker. He has taught at many different teaching venues which include Villanova University and La Salle University in Philadelphia and been invited for public lectures and panel discussions to many organizations. Dr. Lee was also involved in non-profit activities for years. He co-founded a community adult education center for Asian immigrants in the greater Philadelphia area and served as the center's Administrative Director from 2009 until 2014. His research areas range from medical ethics and bioethics, through healthcare administration and policy development, to East Asian philosophy/religion and multiculturalism.
