Theresa (Terri) O’Doherty, M.S.
Assistant Director of Programs
Theresa (Terri) O'Doherty has worked at the Institute of Clinical Bioethics since its doors opened in 2006.
She has organized and been an essential part of all phases of the Institute's strategic plans, programs and research;
while also maintaining the daily operations of the office. For the past years she has directed contract negotiations, pricing and final consultant
agreements in conjunction with the consultation services constituency of the Institute. Terri works closely with the Institute's
undergraduate/graduate fellows in relation with the research projects the Institute continues to expand. Recently, Terri has assumed
the role of spearheading the eyeglasses donation program "Frames to Go," along with several Institute fellows, accepting donated and used
eyeglasses, read the prescription (with a lens meter), and send to underserved countries, as a result, over 1500 glasses have been sent to
Sierra Leone, Nicaragua and Uganda, to be given at no charge to those less fortunate for the opportunity of improved vision and a quality of life.
All eyeglass donations are sent to those countries that have a clinic, hospital or optometrist, etc. only. In that way we can ensure
they are being properly matched to the correct personal prescription.
